Business Operations Services
The Business Operations Services team is responsible for the health of shared service delivery. They ensure standard operating procedures are designed to meet agreed service levels and that all teams adopt automations and standardisation of shared service processes.   

They bring together critical processes and service support for running our shared service offering, enabling operations to leverage shared platforms and standardised processes to deliver high performing services to government and customers. 

 

About the role

You will be responsible for leading a team providing Concierge and workplace services to the Galkangu GovHub in Bendigo. Ensuring that occupants and their visitors are supported and receive high quality workplace services. Galkangu is occupied by Victorian State government departments and agencies as well as the City of Greater Bendigo. Your role includes managing the shared spaces environment including meeting rooms (including AV), collaboration spaces, training rooms, quiet spaces, project rooms, wellness areas, and other working spaces which have been designed to provide a modern, adaptive, and flexible working environment. You will work collegially with the Facilities Manager and onsite security staff to provide clients with holistic building services.

 

Key Accountabilities  

  • Lead and serve as a member of the Workplace Services team, you will be responsible for the management of the shared amenity environment at client occupied buildings in DGS’s portfolio.
  • Initiate and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including senior DGS staff and key external stakeholders, to understand their issues with a focus on ensuring all operational service delivery issues are responded to efficiently and effectively
  • Minimise escalations into DGS by responding and resolving complaints and escalations by negotiating satisfactory outcomes with clients.
  • Identify and develop solutions for operational service delivery issues and implement business improvement opportunities and processes to benefit DGS, occupants and clients.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of DGS services, teams and associated processes to be able to assist clients competently on how to access services.
  • Other duties as directed that are not listed in the position description, but which are consistent with a position of this grade and skills requirement.

 

Desirable requirements

·         Knowledge of AV systems and basic troubleshooting skills.
