About the Branch

Portfolio Delivery is a key enablement function across the Department of Government Services. The function delivers projects a through a centralised project and change management practice. Portfolio Delivery implements the DGS project governance framework, tools and reporting that apply across all projects bringing consistency and control

About the Role

As a Technical PM, You will provide key leadership to guide the successful delivery of programs and projects through the provision of strategic and operational support, including operational reporting, risk, issue and dependency tracking, quality control and collaboration and engagement.

 

Key Accountabilities

1.     Implement the overall direction of the project and solve new and/or complex problems, particularly with reference to stakeholders 

2.     Plan, organise, lead, and direct the work of others to ensure successful delivery of the project. 

3.     Manage a diverse set of resources to deliver IT programs; develop strategies and evaluate project and business outcomes 

4.     Guide project team to identify risks, issues and dependencies while ensuring effective controls are identified and actively managed 

 

About You

  1. Proven ability to lead large and complex portfolios of work in a customer led and technology and digitally driven environment. 
  1. Extensive expertise and experience in leading the design and delivery of complex programs within an agile development environment.  
  1. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective governance and assurance processes and practices within complex and highly regulated environments. 

 

This role is a 12 months fixed term position. This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
