As our Adviser, Strategic Communication, you’ll work with a high-performing team supporting best-practice communication and engagement planning and delivery for Consumer Affairs Victoria.
This role contributes to communication strategies and plans, content and events, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The role will work closely with other teams across the division and with colleagues across policy, compliance and enforcement to develop solutions that meet business and consumer needs.

Key accountabilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality communication strategies and approaches to support best practice communication, including project management, approvals, monitoring and evaluation, working in partnership with teams across the division and Consumer Affairs Victoria.
- Develop content for a range of channels and audiences, including email, web, social media, event materials and speeches.
- Build effective working relationships within the division and with key business areas and stakeholders to manage and provide advice for emerging issues and opportunities to deliver public impact.
- Support and contribute to the management, monitoring and evaluation of communications and engagement activities, including preparing reports, briefings and other documents.
- Provide surge support for other priorities within the division where required.
Mandatory requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in public relations and communication, or equivalent, and/or experience in a government communication role.
