The Cyber Security and Digital Resilience Division
The Cyber Security and Digital Resilience Division (CSDRD) is responsible for leading and overseeing government’s digital resilience, and preparedness and response to cyber security risks, including:
- Leading the Victorian Government’s cyber security operations
- Working with departments and agencies to continue to build the Victorian Government’s cyber security resilience capability
- Working with departments and agencies to improve the protection of data assets across the Victorian Public Sector
- Shaping whole of government governance arrangements, developing best practice, and providing assurance about the management of cyber security and data protection risks
- Improving the resilience of Victoria’s telecommunications infrastructure to support digital resilience and inclusion
About the role
As the Cyber Support Officer, you will provide essential coordination and business support to the Capability and Risk Branch. You will support the Division’s strategic planning, governance, performance monitoring, reporting and stakeholder engagement activities, helping to ensure divisional priorities are effectively coordinated and implemented.
Working closely with the Senior Manager, Strategy and Partnerships and stakeholders across Victorian Government departments and agencies, you will coordinate meetings and engagement activities, maintain records and documentation including strategy implementation and governance, support reporting processes and follow-up actions, and provide practical support across planning and program activities.
The role contributes to timely reporting, effective governance processes and strong administrative discipline, enabling senior staff to focus on strategic oversight, partnership management and issue resolution.
This role will suit a proactive and organised person with strong coordination, administrative and writing skills, excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to build productive working relationships in a fast-paced government environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide coordination and administrative support across planning, governance, reporting, risk and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities, including scheduling, agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
- Maintain records, registers, documentation and information repositories to support accountability and effective information management.
- Support the preparation, quality assurance and distribution of reports, briefs, presentations, governance papers and other business documentation.
- Support engagement and coordination activities involving Victorian Government departments, agencies and other stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate issues, risks and dependencies in a timely manner and contribute to practical solutions.
- Produce high-quality written communications and documentation that support informed decision-making.
- Other duties as directed that are consistent with a position of this grade and skills requirement.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2028. The position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.
