About the Role
The Oracle Data Integration Specialist is responsible for managing, enhancing, and monitoring integrations between Oracle applications and other third-party applications. The role ensures seamless data flow, integration stability, and effective communication between applications. The specialist works closely with functional and technical teams to support business processes, troubleshoot integration issues, and implement enhancements in line with organisational objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- System Reliability & Monitoring: Lead the end-to-end monitoring and maintenance of existing integrations within the Oracle ecosystem (ERP, EPM) and other third-party applications ensuring high availability and integrity of data flowing between these critical platforms.
- Advanced Troubleshooting & Resolution: Act as the senior technical lead for diagnosing complex integration failures and performance bottlenecks, implementing permanent fixes and root cause analyses to minimize business disruption.
- Change & Release Oversight: Manage the technical impact of Oracle upgrades, patches, and system changes, ensuring all existing integrations are rigorously tested and adjusted to remain functional post-update.
- Comprehensive Documentation & Mapping: Maintain and update all technical documentation, data mappings, and configuration records to ensure system transparency, auditability, and seamless knowledge transfer within the team.
- Operational Best Practices: Drive continuous improvement by implementing best-practice protocols for integration testing, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring all support activities align with Victorian Government security standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following attributes:
- Advanced OIC Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience in OIC (Gen3), including deep knowledge of the Oracle ERP Cloud Adapter, EPM Adapter, and REST/SOAP/FTP adapters and handling complex file-based integrations (FBDI/HDL).
- Enterprise EcoSystems: Proven experience supporting and maintaining integrations within Oracle ERP Cloud (Finance) and Oracle EPM, ensuring data consistency between transactional and reporting layers.
- System Interconnectivity: Demonstrated experience managing integrations with third-party legacy or bespoke systems using REST/SOAP APIs and SFTP protocols.
- Tertiary Qualification: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business (Accounting/Finance), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred)
- Oracle Certification: Certification in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or similar tools is highly desirable.
