About the role 

This Senior Safety Advisor role within DTP’s Network Operations Division supports leaders and managers to strengthen health and safety capability, implement safety policies and frameworks, and build a proactive safety culture. The role provides specialist advice, education and support through the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System (HSWMS), particularly for field-based and high-risk work.

Key responsibilities include leading safety improvements, conducting audits and inspections, supporting legal compliance and risk management, analysing safety data, and developing evidence-based solutions. The role also coaches managers in incident investigation, corrective actions and safety practices, while working closely with DTP divisions and field-based staff.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Diploma in WHS (mandatory) and ICAM qualifications and/or demonstrable experience (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and development skills (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training on subject matter expertise (mandatory); Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable).
