About the role
The position is based in Benella/Shepparton/Hume
The Surveillance Lead provides on-site assurance that construction works, including earthworks, pavements, drainage, traffic signals and bridgeworks, are delivered safely, on time and in line with project requirements, technical standards, legislation and DoT policies. The role uses independent judgement to monitor construction quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities include monitoring project progress, budgets and resources, supporting contractor claim assessments, providing construction and safety advice, and helping resolve complex construction and traffic management issues. The role also engages with stakeholders and the community, supports risk-based surveillance planning, and undertakes audits to manage quality and project risks.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Experience in civil construction (Mandatory)
- A relevant certification in civil construction like Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
