About the Role

Delivery Liaison Officers (DLO) are a key connection between internal teams and external stakeholders. The DLO co-ordinates and engages between the Department and high-level stakeholders such as Local Government Areas and also has key deliverables including correspondence via our eBriefing system
Position Accountabilities
- Collaborate and investigate, where required, with key internal and external stakeholders on various issues impacting the road network
- Understand stakeholder needs to determine matters of importance
- Provide administrative support including the preparation of reports, development of maintenance agreements, briefs and correspondence on complex issues that impact at program or organisational level
- Provide accurate and timely support, resolve local operational issues and provide improvements to business operations
- Help ensure that functions are completed within required timeframes and to required standards

Key Selection Criteria
The Delivery Liaison Officer plays a key role in shaping services that meet Victoria’s transport and planning needs. In this dynamic role, you will need to be capable of partnering with stakeholders to co-create solutions, applying strong systems thinking to break down complex issues and identify practical actions. Your sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills will guide evidence-based decisions relevant to this role. Success in this position requires excellent stakeholder management, ensuring all parties are engaged and informed, as well as an understanding of political and organisational contexts to deliver solutions that are effective and future-focused.

Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience with drafting written communications (mandatory)
- Proven stakeholder management experience (mandatory)
- Driver’s License (without any restriction which preclude the incumbent from performing the inherent requirements of the position and which cannot be reasonably accommodated by the Department) (mandatory)
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)
- Understanding of IAP2 engagement principles (desirable).
Other Information
Ordinary hours of work are Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm. Travel and work outside of usual working hours may be required

All new appointments to the department will be subject to a National Criminal Records Check, Misconduct Screening, and a Qualification Check where there is a requirement for a mandatory qualification.
