About the role 
The Scoping and Development Engineer develops and prepares complex transport projects to ensure they are ready for delivery. The role scopes, designs, costs and documents projects in line with the DTP Project Management Framework, using MicroStation CAD or managing external design consultants, while ensuring risks, benefits and engineering standards are met.

The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to secure approvals, integrate projects and maintain design quality. It also provides technical support to the team, contributes to a collaborative and inclusive workplace, and undertakes additional duties consistent with the role's skills and responsibilities.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • At least four years' experience in a relevant engineering or project management role (mandatory).
  • Experience using modern CAD packages (desirable).
