  • Hybrid working environment.  

  • 3 years fixed term,  VPS 4 $100,894- $114,476 + super & benefits.

About VIDA ROADS 

VIDA Roads is delivering a massive investment in the state’s roads.  We’re delivering major new road projects across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria while improving the roads people rely on every day.  

 

North East Link will fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network with new 6.5 km tunnels from Watsonia to Bulleen. We’re also overhauling the Eastern Freeway and completing the M80 Ring Road at Greensborough. 

 

Road Programs are also delivering dozens of new roads, bridges, road widening projects and major freeway upgrades.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by: 

  • Responsible for the development, coordination, planning and implementation of risk-based site surveillance across multiple projects within a program of projects at VIDA Roads.  

  • Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with Technical, Engineering, Planning and Engagement Advisors and contractor's construction teams, proactively resolving issues as they arise, including attendance and providing input into coordination meetings. 

  • Exercise judgement in the delivery of construction activities including service relocations, earthworks, pavements, drainage, surfacing, traffic management, traffic signals and bridgeworks according to project scope, in accordance with VIDA Roads policies, standards, specifications and guidelines. 

  • Apply competence in the planning and execution of all risk-based surveillance activities in the practical application of construction, ensuring high quality documentation is maintained. 

  • Assist in the development of innovative responses to construction and traffic management problems.  

 

 

The Surveillance Officer performs surveillance and auditing of all site investigations, transport infrastructure construction and maintenance work across assigned projects. The role undertakes the implementation of risk-based site surveillance of assigned works under quality assured contracts, managing resolution of issues on site with contractor/s. 

 

This opportunity is a 3 Year Fixed Term Position 

 

It will be a requirement to travel and spend time at one or all our site offices.
