About the role

The Planner supports the Planning portfolio in delivering government planning policies, strategies, reforms and statutory responsibilities. Working as part of a team, the role assists with planning projects, programs, policies and processes, helping to achieve key objectives and improve planning outcomes. The role provides advice on planning issues, identifies solutions, and supports stakeholder engagement to achieve outcomes. It also builds strong relationships with internal and external partners, contributes to a positive and collaborative team culture, and works flexibly across the department to support priorities while promoting culturally safe and inclusive environments. Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

· A relevant qualification in planning or a related field, along with a valid driver’s licence.

· Knowledge of statutory and strategic land use planning within Victoria’s metropolitan and regional planning environments.

· An understanding of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, associated regulations, ministerial directions and other planning legislation.

 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
