About the group

 

Network Design and Integration delivers transport priorities through the planning, development and maintenance of an integrated pipeline of projects and strategic initiatives that provide safe, efficient and sustainable outcomes to all Victorians.

Maintenance Operations delivers all road maintenance tasks on arterial roads within the state of Victoria. This includes routine maintenance, periodic maintenance and rehabilitation projects.

 


About the role

 

This is an Ongoing Full Time Position.

 

This role supports the development of periodic road maintenance and restoration works across metropolitan and regional Victoria, applying project management and engineering knowledge to ensure projects meet scope, quality, safety and environmental requirements. Working under supervision, the Road Development Officer prepares maintenance programs, engages stakeholders and contributes to safe, collaborative and high-quality project delivery.

Position accountabilities

 

  • This role supports the development of road maintenance and restoration works by applying sound judgement, technical knowledge and relevant policies to meet scope, quality, safety and environmental requirements. Under supervision, it involves preparing maintenance programs, contributing to project proposals and engaging with key internal and external stakeholders. The position also promotes safe, inclusive and flexible team operations while assisting with additional duties as required.
  • Under supervision, exercise professional judgement to develop periodic road maintenance and restoration works to achieve project scope, quality, time, safety and environmental requirements in accordance with relevant policies and toolkits.
  • Under supervision, develop and submit pavement resurfacing, pavement rehabilitation and pavement marking programs.
  • Seek advice and apply knowledge on pre-construction and delivery of road maintenance programs and assist with the preparation of high-quality project proposals in accordance with corporate guidelines.

 

 

Qualifications and experience

 

Mandatory

  • A relevant tertiary degree in engineering, project management or significant and equivalent experience.

 

Desirable

  • Some experience in developing road maintenance program / delivering road maintenance or similar infrastructure projects.
