About the role 


This position is available in Geelong or Ballarat.

Regional Victoria is experiencing strong growth through new housing, major infrastructure investment and Renewable Energy Zones. The Barwon South West and Grampians region is key to supporting this growth, with DTP helping to ensure transport networks enable housing delivery, economic development and the transition to renewable energy.

 

The Senior Transport Planner leads integrated land use and transport planning across the region, while managing a team of Transport Planners and contributing to the Transport Strategy leadership team. The role oversees complex projects, develops regional transport strategies, coordinates stakeholder engagement and represents DTP in planning forums to support connected, sustainable and inclusive regional communities..

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in transport or urban planning (mandatory).
  • Experience in transport or land use planning, with team leadership and people management experience highly regarded.
  • A current Driver’s Licence (mandatory) and the ability to meet any required medical and safety compliance requirements. 

 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
