About the role 

This position is available in Geelong or Ballarat.
Regional Victoria is growing rapidly through new housing, major infrastructure projects and Renewable Energy Zones. The Barwon South West and Grampians region is central to this growth, and DTP helps ensure transport networks support housing delivery, economic development and renewable energy projects.

The Transport Planner leads integrated land use and transport planning across the region, working with government, councils, industry and communities. Key responsibilities include reviewing planning projects, advising on transport needs, managing multiple workstreams, preparing reports and briefings, supporting planning panels and stakeholder engagement, and ensuring transport planning is connected, sustainable, inclusive and aligned with government policy.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • A tertiary qualification in land use planning and/or transport planning (mandatory).
  • At least two years’ experience in a land use and/or transport planning role (mandatory).
  • A current Driver’s Licence (mandatory). 

 

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions  

Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required. 

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
