Join us in building better connections for Victoria by: 

  • Implementing the VIDA Roads Environmental Management System (EMS) by providing specialist guidance on environmental matters for road projects in delivery (in construction). 

  • Obtaining secondary consents and amendments to key approvalsreviewing site and construction environmental management plans prepared by contractorsimplementing and quality assuring on-site environmental controls and mitigations to ensure compliance with key approvals and legislation 

  • Developing strong relationships and building trust with VIDA Roads project teams responsible for the delivery of road projects and their supporting teams such as design and engineering, commercial and contracts, surveillance and safety.  

  • Working collaboratively with delivery contractors and their sub-contractors, specialist matter experts and consultants (heritage, ecology), and regulators including Victorian Government Departments and Agencies, Local Council to resolve and progress projectthrough construction 

 

The Senior Environment Advisor provides critical, on-ground expertise and knowledge of environmental matters during the procurement and delivery (construction) of road projects. This is a site-based role reporting to the Senior Manager of Environment & Sustainability, working closely with contractors who design and construct linear transport infrastructure.  

 

This opportunity is a three-year fixed term position based in the Geelong VIDA Roads office at 230-242 Colac Road, Highton.

 

The role requires travel to, and time spent, at one or many site offices located across South-Western Victoria.
