About the role

 

The Accounts Receivable Officer supports the department’s accounts receivable function by processing invoices, payments, refunds and customer account updates while ensuring financial policies and procedures are followed. The role assists staff with enquiries, supports reporting and reconciliation activities, and helps prepare information for audits and finance reviews. Working closely with internal teams, the position also contributes to process improvements, service standards and compliance activities. Success in the role helps ensure accurate financial records, efficient customer service and the smooth day-to-day operation of the department’s finance processes.  We are looking for a team player who can confidently use Excel to manage large datasets, apply formulas, and work with data accurately and efficiently.

• Enjoys working with financial systems, processes and data to support accurate finance operations.

• Can process accounts receivable transactions accurately and in line with financial procedures and guidelines.

• Enjoys maintaining accurate records and ensuring financial information is reliable and up to date.

• Can use finance systems to support reporting, reconciliations and day-to-day financial administration tasks.

• Enjoys learning financial policies, delegation processes and standard reporting requirements to support quality outcomes.

Qualifications and experience

 

  • Desirable  
  • An Accounting, Finance or Economics related qualification. 
  • Prior Accounts Receivable, Payable, Accounting or Finance experience. 
  • Experience using Excel to manage large datasets, with the ability  to use formulas and work with data accurately and efficiency
