About the Role
This position is offered as a two-year fixed-term contract, with flexibility to work from either our Ringwood or Sunshine office.
The role works with teams across the Division to provide guidance and advice, establish and implement processes and monitor and track compliance to ensure consistency in approach to project delivery. The role will work across Capital Delivery and be accountable for establishing, implementing and monitoring an internal audit schedule, develop and maintain systems and tools for field-based reporting to achieve quality assurance outcomes and analyse data to provide timely actions and quality reports. The Assurance and Compliance Officer will work with teams across the department to identify efficiencies in project development, handover and delivery and promote a culture of continual improvement across teams. The role will work with subject matter experts to develop and maintain processes and manage the Divisions knowledge hub to assist with capability lift across delivery teams.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities
- Project Assurance – Works with the leadership team to determine compliance measures and develops and implements processes to establish ways of working to confirm compliance in quality, safety, environmental management and project delivery
- Quality Assurance – Establishes, implements and monitors a suitable project audit program across Capital Delivery to confirm compliance against project management requirements.
- Works Collaboratively – Engages and works collaboratively with project leads and officers to create efficiencies and consistent approaches to project delivery
- Systems management – Works with system managers including Camms and SafeT Assurance to ensure they are fit for purpose for managing and tracking Assurance activities in project delivery models across Capital Delivery. Make recommendations for improvements to ensure monitoring of compliance can be managed through existing corporate systems effectively and timely.
- Continuous Improvement – Manages and continually improves on the Divisions knowledge hub in SharePoint including facilitation of development and incorporation of guidance documents, training material and processes.
- Risk Management - Works with project leads to ensure risk assessments, mitigations and controls are completed in a timely manner throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring – Provides regular reports on compliance and identifies areas for improvement across the Division to improve compliance.
- In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities

Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in Assurance practices and tools, including auditing
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, continuous improvement and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in use of systems for project management and tracking of project Assurance
Desirable
- Demonstrated experience in construction processes.
- Demonstrated experience in use of excel to manage data sets
- Demonstrated experience in running training and workshop sessions
- Demonstrated experience in working across multiple teams to effect change and improvements.
- Experience in use of systems for project management and tracking of project Assurance including Camms, SafeT Assurance.
