Transport Services leads the delivery of safe, reliable and accessible transport infrastructure and services across Victoria. Within this group, Capital Delivery manages a broad portfolio of projects and relies on strong assurance, consistent processes and quality systems to support successful delivery.

 

About the role

VPS 4 | Fixed Term (2 years) | Ringwood
As the Assurance and Compliance Officer, you’ll play a central role in strengthening the quality and consistency of project delivery across Capital Delivery. This is a data- and systems-focused role, where you’ll work across teams to support the development and implementation of assurance processes and tools.

 

You’ll prepare assurance reports, monitor and track compliance, and coordinate an internal audit schedule to ensure obligations are met across projects. You’ll maintain and enhance systems used for project assurance, support field-based reporting and analyse data to identify risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
The role also contributes to improving the division’s knowledge hub, ensuring project teams have clear, accessible and up-to-date guidance.

What you’ll bring
To succeed in the role, you will bring:

  • Experience in assurance practices, auditing, risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Strong data literacy, with the ability to work confidently with assurance systems and produce high-quality reports.
  • The ability to work effectively across teams to support consistent ways of working and promote best practice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify actions and monitor compliance.
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the confidence to provide clear, timely and constructive advice.
    Experience with Camms, SafeT Assurance, Excel (including advanced functions), and construction processes will be highly regarded.
