About the role 

*This is a Fixed Term Position for 12 months*

The Business Services Manager leads the delivery of corporate and business support services across the Group, ensuring effective governance, financial management, business planning and operational performance. The role is responsible for overseeing key functions including finance, reporting, records and document management, ministerial and executive coordination, business systems, risk, governance and business continuity.

 

Working closely with stakeholders across DTP, the position drives continuous improvement through the development of efficient systems, streamlined processes and effective service delivery frameworks. The Business Services Manager provides strategic advice, clear reporting and high-quality support to executives, particularly the Deputy Secretary and Office of the Deputy Secretary, while ensuring compliance with departmental requirements and corporate policies.

 

The role also leads stakeholder engagement, coordinates complex business initiatives and represents the Group in corporate forums, fostering strong partnerships that support organisational priorities and service excellence.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • List Previous experience in a business or corporate services role working with senior executives (Mandatory)
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business administration or a related field would be an advantage. (Desirable)
  • Understanding of budgeting and business planning or a willingness to proactively learn these skills (Desirable)
