The Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) Graduate Program is an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to shaping a better future for our growing city and state.

As Graduates you’ll be contributing to achieving those far-reaching outcomes, whatever your role!

During the program you will develop a wide range of skills and gain valuable industry experience as you rotate through project teams within your area of interest. Positions are available across a range of disciplines including engineering, communications, urban design and planning, architecture, legal and more.

As well as offering learning and development opportunities, the program also provides mentoring and networking to kickstart your career in transport.

Selection process for 2026 intake:

1.         Applications open 9.00am Monday 2nd June 2025

3.         SRLA Information session - 9th July– Hints and Tips for recruitment process (virtual online)

4.         Applications close (1159pm) Sunday 20th July –- We cannot accept any applications made after this time.

5.         Online blended assessments (situational judgement test, applied intellect verbal and applied intellect numerical) and Video Interview - we'll ask you to record yourself answering a few motivational questions – 21 - 27 July 

6.         Assessment Centre and Interview – 19 or 20 August (in person event).  In some cases, we may also ask for an individual interview.

7.         Offers – before we make an offer, we will complete reference, police and qualification checks.

8.         Graduate program – commence Wednesday 4th February 2026

As we complete each stage of the selection process, we'll notify both successful and unsuccessful candidates.

  • Australia Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen 
  • Completed a relevant university undergraduate degree in 2023, 2024, 2025 or graduate by January 2026.
