About VHBA  

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar Health Capital Projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care, and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management, and environmental sustainability disciplines. 
 
The Opportunity:  

The Commercial Manager will provide commercial advice across a portfolio of projects for the Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA). Reporting directly to the Director, Commercial, this position plays a critical role in supporting the development and delivery of complex, complex and dynamic range infrastructure projects. Working with the support of the commercial and legal team, the Commercial Manager is responsible for ensuring that all commercial, contractual, procurement, and risk management activities align with VHBA's strategic goals and operational objectives. You will be part of a team of commercial professionals, ensuring high-quality advice, stakeholder engagement, and efficient delivery of key outcomes across the program. 
 

 

Key aspects of the role include: 

  • Management of commercial processes for a portfolio of projects in VHBA. 

  • Driving value, fairness and high-quality procurement, contract management and risk strategies. 

 

We are looking for 

  • Expertise and strong experience in commercial and contract and claims management within a capital infrastructure setting. 

  • Proficient stakeholder management skills and forming effective relationships with contractors and team members to ensure strong contract management and issues resolution.  

  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders.
