About the role

 

Our commercial and legal team are looking for a Commercial Manager with skills in influencing and negotiating, to join our dynamic, supportive and results driven team. This opportunity is available due to an internal promotion. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be an essential part of the team managing a wide range of commercial, contract administration, cost control and financial reporting activities.

 

On a day-to-day basis you will be

 

  • Liaising with cross-discipline colleagues and stakeholders. 
  • Assessment of bids/tenders. 
  • Performing ongoing contract management activities for a busy program of works under an Alliance model contract, including scope and time adjustment events.  
  • Writing high quality government approvals and other governance-related briefing papers. 
  • Supporting monthly financial and commercial reporting activities. 

 

We like to work together when it makes sense, so when working from the office you will find yourself in workshops, brainstorms, and real life catch ups with people as you build rapport with your key stakeholders across the business and within the industry.

 

This is a three (3) year fixed term position, paying a salary between $138,631 - $185,518 plus superannuation with hybrid working arrangement (a mix of office and home/remote based working).

 

The office you will be working from is in Moorabbin (and on occasions in the Melbourne CBD) and you will also have the option to access flexible working arrangements if you need them – many LXRP employees work flexibly.   

 

About you

 

You are someone who thrives in a varied role. You effectively interact with different stakeholders and influencing outcomes. You might be working as a Project Manager and looking for a change, or as a Senior Contract Administrator looking for the next step, or you may have transferrable skills that you believe make you a good fit for the role.   

 

Let’s get technical – what skills do we expect you to have? 

 

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience managing commercial and contractual issues during all stages of the project life cycle. 
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills to support the preparation of high-quality reports and briefs. 
  • A degree in law, commerce, economics, business, project management or a related field is essential.
