About the role 
The Content Production Lead manages the delivery of high-quality, accessible and on-brand digital content across DTP’s web channels. The role leads internal content producers and external agency resources, ensuring accurate, timely and user-focused content that supports the department’s content strategy, digital experience vision and transport operations.

 

The position oversees content planning, workflow prioritisation and quality assurance, while managing real-time and disruption content from routine updates to complex incidents. It also works closely with teams across the Digital Channels and Content branch to implement content strategy, monitor performance and continuously improve content quality, customer experience and service delivery.

  • Delivers customer-focused digital content and services, using technology and digital best practice to improve outcomes and user experience.
  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders, understands their needs and works collaboratively to deliver effective solutions.
  • Uses data and insights to inform decisions, monitor performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Has strong digital communications expertise, including managing campaigns, advising on brand strategy and evaluating the effectiveness of digital communications.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, digital media, design or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience), with at least five years' experience delivering digital content for large, complex or public-facing websites (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated experience leading content teams and managing internal producers, external agencies or suppliers, with the ability to work within content governance, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), brand frameworks and digital service standards, and collaborate across multidisciplinary digital teams (mandatory).
  • Strong capability using CMS platforms, content workflow management and analytics tools (mandatory), with experience delivering high-volume, time-sensitive operational or disruption content in transport, emergency services, utilities or similar environments (desirable).
