About the role 
Land Registry Services (LRS) provides secure and accurate property, plan, and water share registration services under Victorian legislation. It also supports high-volume transactions through its private operator, Secure Electronic Registries Victoria (SERV), including millions of property searches, titles, and subdivision plans each year.

The Contract and Commercial Adviser supports management of a major $2.9 billion concession contract, ensuring compliance, assurance, reporting, and governance across LRS. The role provides analysis of contractual obligations, prepares reports and briefs, tracks deliverables, supports documentation and meetings, and works with stakeholders to resolve issues in a fast-paced, high-volume environment requiring strong commercial judgement and agility.

You’re someone who: 

• Demonstrates strong commercial awareness, understanding operational costs and ensuring vendors meet agreed contract terms and performance expectations.
• Applies sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret guidelines, analyse options, and make informed decisions when resolving issues.
• Communicates clearly and effectively, tailoring messages and presentations to suit different audiences and ensure understanding.
• Works collaboratively by building positive team relationships, sharing information across teams, and supporting others in challenging situations.
• Manages contracts effectively, ensuring supplier compliance, monitoring performance, and supporting risk management and value tracking.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

• A tertiary qualification in law, project management, commerce, or relevant practical experience in the field.
• Experience in procurement and contract management, including supplier relationship management systems and contract management frameworks.
• Understanding of risk and safety management principles, with the ability to apply them in a delivery environment.
