About the Role

Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne

DTP manages more than 4,000 supplier contracts worth around $5 billion each year, ranging from routine agreements to major strategic contracts. The Contract Management Coordinator supports the Department’s Contract Management Framework, helping deliver improvement initiatives that strengthen contract management practices and capability across the organisation.

The role provides project coordination, governance, reporting and stakeholder support to ensure consistent implementation of contract management initiatives. The successful candidate will develop and maintain framework resources, prepare reports and governance materials, provide advice to business areas, support risk management, and work with stakeholders to improve processes, documentation and contract management outcomes across the Department.

You’re someone who: 

  • Has practical experience in contract management, business analysis and/or applying business processes and frameworks to support effective contract delivery.
  • Builds positive relationships with stakeholders, understands their needs and works collaboratively to resolve issues and achieve good outcomes.
  • Enjoys coordinating projects and keeping tasks on track to deliver agreed outcomes.
  • Can identify problems, assess information and find practical solutions, using good judgement and seeking input when needed.
  • Looks for opportunities to improve processes, work more efficiently and introduce practical new ideas.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Tertiary degree in business, commerce, law, data science; or significant experience coordinating projects, governance activities or business improvement initiatives (mandatory)
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations and briefing material (mandatory)
  • Experience working with procurement, contract management or governance processes (desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience in data analysis, PowerBi and Microsoft Excel (desirable)
