About the role
The Corporate Communications and Engagement Lead supports DTP’s Strategic Plan by leading communications and engagement activities for the Secretary, including staff communications, industry engagement and key events. The role prepares speaking notes, event briefs and communication materials, while leading the delivery of major Secretary events such as monthly all-staff and leadership meetings.
Working within the Public Affairs branch, the role helps implement the department’s stakeholder engagement strategy, coordinates executive speaking engagements and builds strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders. It also oversees supplier contracts, evaluates communication effectiveness and drives continuous improvement to ensure consistent, high-quality engagement and communication outcomes.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience delivering large in-person, hybrid and online events, including MS Teams management, venue coordination, catering and the preparation of event briefs and speaking materials (mandatory).
- Experience preparing high-quality internal and external communications for senior executives (mandatory).
- A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, government relations or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
