About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 30 June 2026
As the Data Systems Consultant, you’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, secure, and high-quality data tools and processes. Sitting within the Transport Performance and Road Incidents Data team, you’ll work closely with technical experts, digital colleagues, and stakeholders to modernise systems, improve data flows, and make our data tools easier to use and maintain.
You’ll support the management of information systems used for road incidents and public transport performance. Your work will focus on improving the usability, reliability and security of data platforms – helping automate processes, lift system performance, and enable better access to insights for internal and external users.

- Strong data literacy and system management skills
- Knowledge of information architecture, MDM, analytics, and digital tools
- A mindset for innovation and process improvement
- The ability to collaborate across teams and manage system upgrades or transitions
- Experience with metadata, automation tools or spatial datasets is desirable
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
- Relevant tertiary qualification in information systems, computer science or similar
- Experience managing datasets to industry standards
