About VHBA:   

 

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.  

 

The Opportunity:  

This role will oversee VHBA’s information, data analytics, and records management functions. You will be responsible for strengthening data and information governance and leading innovative approaches and behaviours to drive success across the organisation. This position will also have the opportunity to work closely with VIDA and other project office’s to ensure cohesion to facilitate the delivery of information solutions that serve mutual interests and strategic objectives. 

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders on their responsibilities related to data, records, and information security, ensuring alignment with business value initiatives and compliance with applicable legislative requirements.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to VHBA on data standards, quality, and usage to ensure data is accurate, accessible, compliant, and effectively risk-managed in alignment with legislative and government requirements. 

  • Oversee the classification and identification of Retention and Disposal Authorities relevant to VHBA’s records. 

 

We are looking for:  

  • Proven experience applying a holistic approach, with strong business acumen, a solid background in strategic and tactical planning, and a deep understanding of organisational challenges and dynamics 

  • Ability to work in an agile and proactive environment, with a proven ability to foster a high-performing, results-driven culture and deliver high-quality advice in both written and verbal forms. 

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Management, Business, Information Security, or a related field is highly desirable.
