About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position (Executive contract up to 5 years)
The Director, Commercial and Performance leads commercial, performance, data, and quality assurance functions supporting Victoria’s Road Maintenance Contracts. The role works closely with Maintenance Operations leadership to ensure contract delivery meets safety, accessibility, and legislative requirements under the Road Management Act 2004 and related strategies and plans.
The role provides strategic leadership, advice, and oversight of planning, delivery, resource management, and performance outcomes. It builds strong stakeholder partnerships across government, industry, and the community while fostering an inclusive culture, strengthening team capability, and supporting departmental priorities and budget processes.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- A valid Driver’s Licence without restrictions that prevent the performance of the role’s inherent requirements (mandatory).
- Relevant qualifications and experience in project management within complex organisations.
- Experience working in the roads and transport industry, with an understanding of related operational environments (desirable).
