About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Systems and Controls, the Director, Digital, Data and Information Technology leads a team responsible for the development and implementation of information technology plans and services to streamline business processes, provide optimal information for decision making and ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place for the management of information.
Working in close partnership with the VIDA Chief Information Officer and fellow Directors of IT across VIDA project offices, this position plays a pivotal role in driving technological innovation and digital transformation across the broader organisation through a collaborative, whole-of-VIDA approach.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop VIDA Rail’s information technology, business intelligence, knowledge information and records management team, emphasising responsiveness, efficiency, appropriate governance and customer centricity.
- Develop and deliver initiatives that improve IT service management and streamline business processes in alignment with overarching strategy and VIDA Rail’s business objectives.
- Lead a collaborative team of professionals, driving agile work practices that support innovation with appropriate levels of governance to support the balance between speed and risk management.
- Role models ethical leadership through decision making and interactions with others; creates an organisational culture that enables other to perform at their best and achieve outcomes; Champions people engagement as an organisational priority.
The role is a 3-year fixed term SES1 position, paying a total remuneration package between $232,790 – $298,488.
About you
Let's get technical! What will we expect from you?
- Demonstrated experience and success in senior leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing strategic direction, providing organisational leadership and actively championing a positive team culture.
- Experience in construction, design or operations environments will be highly regarded.
- A relevant qualification or demonstrated experience in a related discipline is mandatory.
