Title: Director, I&T Service Operations
VIDA is established as an Administrative Office under the Public Administration Act 2004 as a specialist organisation. The Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) is responsible for delivering the biggest transport and health infrastructure program in Victorian history.
This includes more than 200 projects such as the Metro Tunnel, North East Link, West Gate Tunnel, removing level crossings, new and upgraded hospitals in Footscray, Frankston and Warrnambool, and specialist programs such as the early parenting centres expansion and upgrade program.
Led by the Director-General, VIDA is comprised of the four project offices Major Road Projects Victoria, Level Crossing Removal Project, the Metro Tunnel Project and the Victorian Health Building Authority.
About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director, I&T Service Operations, is responsible for leading the delivery and continuous improvement of stable, secure, and resilient I&T services across VIDA. This role oversees enterprise systems, digital, operations and infrastructure to ensure business continuity with minimal disruption while optimising operational costs and supporting technological advancement. The Director, I&T Service Operations and Director, I&T Design and Delivery, function as integrated partners throughout the complete technology lifecycle, collaborating on solution handoffs, shared resource planning, and joint risk management to ensure that new systems are both functionally effective and operationally sustainable. Their success requires coordinated decision-making where operational insights inform design choices, design considerations account for supportability requirements, and both directors align on strategic technology roadmaps to prevent gaps between what's built and what can be effectively maintained.
