About the role
This is five years fixed term position.
Reporting to the Head, Land Services Victoria, and based at 2 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, the Director, Land and Property leads the delivery of specialist land acquisition, property management and government land transaction services that support transport infrastructure delivery and broader Victorian Government priorities. As a member of the Land Services Victoria leadership team, the role leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for compulsory acquisition, land utilisation, government land sales and property advisory services.
The role works collaboratively across the Department, transport agencies and Victorian Government departments to provide high-quality land and property services that support infrastructure investment, efficient asset management and government objectives, providing authoritative advice on land acquisition, land management and property matters while ensuring effective service delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in property, planning, law, engineering, surveying, business, public policy or a related discipline.
- Significant experience leading land, property, infrastructure, planning or related professional service delivery functions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of key policy, legislative and regulatory frameworks governing land acquisition, compensation and government land transactions.
- Proven record of leading high-performing teams within large, complex organisations, including delivery of complex programs involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Political acumen and understanding of Victorian Government decision-making processes.
- A current driver’s licence, and the ability to travel and stay overnight across metropolitan and regional Victoria as required.
