People, Legal and Governance provides business enabling people, legal and corporate services functions, to drive a high-performance culture; timely and accessible legal advice and services; and to support integrated operations and portfolio wide programs.
About the Role
This is a fixed term 5-year SES 1 contract

We are seeking an experienced strategic and outcomes focussed leader to join our People and Culture leadership team as Director People Insights and Strategy.
In this critical role, you will lead the delivery of workforce analytics, planning and insights that shape organisational decisions and drive meaningful impact across the department. You’ll be responsible for applying established methods and technologies to develop analytics and insights tools that enable localized workforce planning, ensuring the right mix of skills, diversity, capability, and structure to support strategic priorities.
Working closely with senior executives, business leaders and broader People and Culture teams, you will generate and interpret workforce data to guide decisions on workforce composition, spans of control, diversity and workforce size. You will monitor global and local workforce trends, identifying strategic risks and opportunities and providing trusted advice at the executive level.

What you bring
- Deep expertise in workforce analytics, planning and strategic HR in a complex organisation (public sector experience highly regarded).
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate data into powerful insights and action.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing workforce decision at an executive level.
- A strategic mindset, with a passion for improving diversity, capability and performance through evidence-based planning.
- Leadership experience in managing teams and delivering high impact work.
