About the role 

This is 5 years Fixed Term Position

The Director, Procurement Governance, Policy and Systems leads teams responsible for procurement governance, systems, policy, reporting and compliance across the department. The role provides strategic leadership, oversees procurement frameworks and systems, and ensures procurement practices align with government requirements and organisational priorities.

The position provides expert advice to senior leaders, builds strong stakeholder partnerships, leads organisational improvement initiatives and develops high-performing teams. It also manages procurement reporting, compliance, budgets and workforce planning to support effective and accountable procurement outcomes.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

• A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded.
• A current driver's licence.
• Flexibility to undertake occasional evening or weekend work, including overnight travel where required.
