About the role
This is a Fixed Term Position (Executive contract up to 5 years)
The role leads teams responsible for strategic asset management of Victoria’s arterial road and bus network, together with Systems that support the departments asset & engineering functions including the Department’s Asset Management System, AMAF framework, and supportive Assets & Engineering business performance systems.
The role ensures asset strategies for road and bus are aligned to long-term priorities to improve transport network performance for users. The role also drives maturity in strategic asset management across the Department, leads improvement programs, and supports business systems for performance, including some costing and financial management. It also provides strong leadership, manages change, builds capability, maintains stakeholder relationships, and ensures compliance with governance, budgets and reporting requirements.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- A tertiary degree in engineering, asset management, business management or an equivalent qualification. (mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience in engineering or asset management, including leading teams effectively. (mandatory)
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), project and change management, and asset management within road and bus networks. (desirable)
