About the role
This is a Full TIME FIXED TERM position until 30/06/2026
This role is the functional lead for Document Control within the VTDE program. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the Document Controllers
and driving effective information exchange between the Contractor and other third-parties utilising the Information Exchange System.
We are seeking a dynamic professional with strong capabilities in systems thinking, critical problem-solving, and project delivery, who can navigate complex environments and drive meaningful outcomes. Position accountabilities
- Support the VTDE project team in developing and documenting digital engineering processes, standards and requirements for model-based delivery.
- Worked closely with project teams, Operators and DTP to fully understand business needs with the aim of ensuring the best possible digital engineering and information management solutions are effectively utilised by the VTDE program
– Act as a subject matter expert on document management, providing thought leadership and guidance to the VTDE program teams and key stakeholders. Promoted the use of correct document and information management processes and procedures and identified opportunities for improvement within Victorian Transport program,
– Provided guidance and training to staff on digital engineering and information management matters.
– Assist with the ongoing development and improvements of the Victorian Transport Drawing Management System (DMS) and Transport BIM Application.
– Assist with the monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of the VTDE digital engineering project pilots and implementation, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for future enhancements
– Developed and maintained effective relationships with key stakeholders at various levels, both internally and externally, ensuring efficiency of information exchange and that records are appropriately captured.
– Developed document control related material including policies, plans, procedures, manuals and guidelines
Qualifications and experience
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role in Government. (mandatory)
– Proven experience in records management, ideally within an ICT program context. (desirable)
