Transport Regulatory Operations (TRO) is a Branch within the Department of Transport and Planning and has the responsibility to manage the infringement and enforcement of ticketing, behavioural and parking offences committed on across the public transport network and Clearway parking offences.

 

About the role

Located within Transport Regulatory Operations, the Evidence Analyst reports to the Team Leader of Forensic Evidence. The primary purpose of this role is to extract, view, analyse and store evidence and other information for use in criminal or civil proceedings in the Victorian Court of law or in tribunals. The role is responsible for viewing and downloading digitised images stored on digital video recording device hard drives which are on the public transport systems Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System.

About you

As an experienced analyst you will have a strong background in navigating video surveilance systems to accurately source and handle sensistive information while maintaining the integrity of gathered evidence.

 

You will be able to interpret and prioritise stakeholder requests while communicating in a professional manner that delivers timely high quality results.

 

Demonstrate outcomes thinking by contributing to continuous improvement. 

 

Can work collaboratively in a small team and communicate in a professional manner.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

Demonstrated experience and capacity to deal with distressing scenes, events and situations.

Demonstrated experience and skill in the operation of video surveillance systems.

Desirable  

Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
