About VHBA 

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.

The Opportunity:   

This position is essential in delivering high-level support to the Executive Director of Program Delivery at VHBA. This position will support the Executive Director by expertly managing a demanding calendar, coordinating meetings and forums, developing strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and delivering timely and professional correspondence. 

 

Key aspects of the role include: 

  • Delivering administrative support on sensitive and complex matters by conducting research and analysis, drafting responses, and adapting new concepts to evolving situations.  
  • Coordinating the Executive Director’s calendar, resolving conflicting priorities with astute political, organisational, and stakeholder management acumen, ensuring alignment with key relationships and business objectives.  

 

We are looking for:  

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality administrative support to senior executive stakeholders within a complex, fast-paced environment, with the ability to quickly understand organisational objectives.  
  • Experience producing high-quality reports, briefs, and correspondence, with high-level proficiency in professional writing, document preparation, and the use of administrative systems.  
  • Someone with the ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Someone with the ability to resolve issues, align interests, and drive successful outcomes for all parties involved. 
  • Experience working in an infrastructure, health services, or similar government related environment is highly desirable.
