About the role

The Executive Assistant is responsible for the coordination, monitoring, reporting and information management for the office of the Executive Director Network Operations.  The role ensures that timely, accurate, consistent and appropriate information is provided to various stakeholders and governments authorities.  The role is required to manage the associated risks, meet strict timelines and work with key staff to continually improve business practices, to respond to the issues confronting DTP Executives and Relevant Ministers. The Executive Assistant is responsible for the effective and accurate flow of information to and from the Executive team and ensuring effective utilisation of the their time through strong diary management.

Position accountabilities

DTP is seeking a skilled professional to support the Network Operations portfolio and Executive Office. The position provides high-level executive and administrative support, including diary and travel management, meeting coordination and preparation of papers. The role requires an understanding of how Network Operations connects to the broader organisation and policy environment.

 

Success in this position relies on strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to build trusted relationships across internal business areas, Ministerial offices and senior executives. Candidates will demonstrate sound judgement, the ability to manage competing priorities and a proactive approach to anticipating needs and resolving issues within government policy and a complex operating environment.

 

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical work that shapes Victoria’s transport network and delivers public value through effective coordination, communication and executive support.

 

Qualifications and experience

 • Business Administration Qualifications and/or relevant proven experience (desirable)

 • An appropriate qualification or significant work experience in a related field (desirable)

• Experience working in Government related agencies (desirable)
