About the role
Provides high-level confidential executive support to the Deputy Secretary, People, Legal and Governance, within a fast-paced and complex environment. The role involves managing complex diaries, coordinating information flow, reporting, communications, travel and financial administration, while liaising with government, Ministerial Offices and transport agencies. It requires strong organisational, interpersonal and strategic planning skills to manage sensitive matters, support stakeholder engagement, ensure timely and accurate communication, coordinate departmental priorities and contribute to continuous business improvement and effective office operations.
What we’re looking for
You’re someone who:
- Extensive experience providing high-level executive and office support in complex environments
- Strong understanding of organisational priorities, challenges and stakeholder expectations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical solutions
- Experience managing projects, conducting research and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence
- Ability to provide reliable advice, identify emerging issues and manage risks effectively

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Extensive knowledge and proven experience applying parliamentary and government processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
