About the role 

This is a Fixed Term Position until 26 November 2027

The Executive and Project Support Officer provides high-quality administrative, business and project support to the MR5 Project team, working closely with the Project Director and a multidisciplinary team. The role supports senior executives, leads task-based projects and provides timely, accurate advice and communications to help deliver the transaction and transition.

 

The role manages stakeholder communication, meetings, project reporting and due diligence activities, while maintaining sensitive records in line with document control requirements. It also prepares reports, presentations and project documentation, provides advice on corporate policies and processes, and acts as a key contact for government stakeholders and market participants.

You’re someone who: 

  • Uses sound judgement to resolve issues, applying policies and processes while seeking guidance when needed.
  • Builds strong relationships by understanding stakeholder needs and adapting communication to different audiences.
  • Provides responsive, professional stakeholder support and takes ownership of enquiries, issues and requests through to resolution.
  • Understands project governance, probity and organisational requirements and applies them effectively to support project delivery.
  • Is resilient, adaptable and collaborative, responding positively to change, sharing information and working effectively across teams.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Demonstrated project support or administration experience relevant to complex strategic or commercial projects in a government setting (mandatory).
  • Advanced understanding of project administration and management software, including MS Office and systems used for financial and records management (mandatory).
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in project management, business management or a related discipline would be well regarded (desirable).
