Investment and Technology leads and manages the investment lifecycle; drives commercial advice & negotiations to facilitate reform; and enables core delivery through Finance, Procurement & Enterprise Technology.
About the role
The Finance Business Partner position is responsible for undertaking a range of finance business partnering activities including financial budget and forecasting development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management. In providing these services the position is to exercise professional judgement and provides sound advice, guidance and support to assist internal clients in their decision making and business performance.
The position requires the incumbent to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and apply professional judgement and well- developed communication skills in providing insight and advising on financial management issues to the clients.
Key Selection Criteria
We are seeking a skilled finance professional with strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and business acumen, able to deliver effective solutions that drive tangible business outcomes. You will build authentic relationships by managing stakeholders, understanding customer needs, and ensuring high-quality, risk-aware service delivery. The role requires expertise in finance operations, including managing financial systems, transactional accuracy, government purchasing processes, and preparation of reports using Oracle (or similar) and Microsoft 365 applications. You will also ensure compliance with legislation and accounting standards, while providing insightful management accounting, budget analysis, and forecasting to support informed decision-making.

Exercise independent judgement to deliver strategic advice aligned with financial policies, legislation, and departmental priorities.
Qualifications and experience
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline.
- Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA Program.
- Membership of CPA or CA.
