About the Role


he HR Operations Advisor plays a critical role in managing the employee lifecycle and maintaining DTP’s organisational structure within our HCM platform VicGov People. This position works closely with other members of HR Operations to deliver a fit-for-purpose service delivery that enhances operational efficiency and effectiveness within the branch. 
 
This position provides a customer centric experience for stakeholders and is responsible for processing employee lifecycle changes, overseeing the integrity of people and position data, and offering strategic advice to stakeholders across the Department. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of HR policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer focus, stakeholder management, innovation, and resilience, delivering tailored outcomes while continuously improving services and responding constructively to challenge and feedback.  


Position Outcomes / Accountabilities 

– Exercises a high level of attention to detail when processing employee lifecycle changes, such as onboarding, transfers, and employee data changes. As well as the delivery of data entry and maintenance of DTPs organisational structure within the VicGov People system. 
– Has comprehensive knowledge of business processes, HR policies, and systems to deliver best practice advise and innovative solutions to stakeholders. Has demonstrated the needs of the stakeholder have been understood and has collaborated with cross-functional teams to implement a solution in alignment with 
system, governance, and legislative requirements.  
– Serves as a subject matter expert on HR policies and procedures relating to employee lifecycle and position management, providing accurate and timely guidance and interpretation to stakeholders. 
– Uses an analytical mindset to identify and correct errors in people and position data, ensuring accuracy and consistency within the VicGov People system. Has demonstrated the ability to recognise trends, analyse data, and make informed recommendations to leaders.
– Participates in a culture of continuous improvement by collaborating with others, soliciting feedback, and contributing ideas of process enhancement to improve service delivery and resolve stakeholder concerns. 

 

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory 
– Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures. – Experience working within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. 

Desirable 
– Degree in Human Resources, or a related field. – Experience operating within HRIS platforms.
