Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) is an integrated transport infrastructure and precincts planning project that will deliver a 90km rail line linking every major train service from the Frankston Line to the Werribee Line via Melbourne Airport, as well as investment in the suburbs, better connecting Victorians to jobs, retail, education, health services and each other. Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) is the statutory body established to plan all elements of the project, procure builders, develop structure planning for SRL Precincts and oversee construction and the other changes that will help transform Melbourne and Victoria.

About the opportunity

The Health and Injury Management Advisor will coach and work within the business to provide expert occupational health and injury management advice to SRL staff and People Managers. The role will support the operations of the Health & Safety, Rail Safety, People and Culture and Business Services teams for the purpose of fitness-for-work compliance, inherent requirement determinations and reasonable workplace adjustments respectively.

The Health and Injury Management Advisor will use their allied health expertise to consider clinical discussions with treating health practitioners and read medical reports for the mentioned undertakings and the management of SRL’s work and non-work-related injuries and illnesses. The role will be the key relationship holder with Workcover Case Managers, early intervention clinicians and will oversee the administrative functions to meet SRL’s legal return-to-work obligations. This role will also partner with the business to apply health and wellbeing knowledge in procedure writing and reviews, identifying trends and implementing initiatives to reduce and prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
