About the role 

This is a Fixed Term Position until 18 December 2026

Looking to apply your technical studies in a real-world environment? As an Intern – DataOps Officer, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting data pipelines, cloud-based infrastructure and automation within the Department of Transport and Planning. Working alongside experienced data and technology professionals, you'll contribute to projects that improve how data is managed, integrated and delivered across transport systems.

Qualifications and experience 

You’ll bring: 

  • Current enrolment in a relevant tertiary qualification in a STEM field
  • Knowledge of orchestrating different data pipelines for value delivery and innovation or exploration
  • Technical knowledge of configuration as code in data product environments and developing scripts or templates
