About the role

 

We are seeking two Land and Property Advisers to join the team to assist with the delivery of our projects!

 

Both roles are responsible for assisting in all matters relating to the identification, leasing and management of property and where necessary, disposal and acquisition of land for project purposes.

 

One role is a 12-month fixed term position within the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance (MRPA) team located in Richmond.

 

The other role is a 2-year fixed term position initially located in the CBD with the possibility of the role being relocated to an Alliance office in the future. 

 

In these roles, you will

 

  • Provide advice to project delivery teams on land and property issues relating to the delivery of the project.
  • Ascertain the status of project land and identify all affected owner and third-party interests including easements, leases, grants, reservations and licences, contribute to the maintenance of an appropriate database of such interests and assisting with landowner liaison regarding any acquisition process.
  • Undertake a variety of land and property tasks for site identification including title searches, investigating land status, identification of project survey needs.
  • Identify project survey needs and coordinate with the project teams in obtaining cadastral surveys / survey plans.

The roles will be performed in a hybrid format with a weekly blend of our CBD or Richmond office location (2 – 3 days) and working from home (2 – 3 days).

 

Both Land and Property Adviser positions pay between $113,022 - $136,747 plus superannuation.

 

About you

 

You might have some land and property experience from the following disciplines such as property valuation, property leasing, land disposal, asset management, property surveying or crown land access processes.

 

In addition to this, we’d also love you to have an open and learning mindset, there’s a lot to learn in the transport projects world!

 

Let's get technical! What will we expect from you?

 

  • Demonstrated experience in managing land and property issues in a major project context, including private and Crown land, and understanding of value drivers. Experience in a major transport project context would be advantageous.
  • Experience in land and property related disciplines, including property valuation, property conveyancing, land and asset management, development management, survey, Crown land transactions, government land processes and familiarity with the principal land acquisition statutes.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of land and property leasing frameworks (i.e. Leases and licences). Experience in dealing with the leasing of government land and property would be advantageous.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in property, surveying, urban planning, or a similar discipline is beneficial to the role but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience of utilising project delivery powers under Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009 will be advantageous.
