About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at ST Vic for a Lawyer to join a capable, forward-thinking in-house legal team delivering high-impact services across a broad portfolio—including administrative law, contracts, workplace relations, prosecutions, litigation, statutory interpretation, privacy, FOI, and governance.
Reporting to the Principal Lawyer, you will provide solutions-focused, practical advice to support ST Vic’s statutory functions and organisational goals. This is a hands-on role contributing to legal projects, improving processes, and helping shape a legal function that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clear, solutions-focused legal advice across diverse areas of law
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, templates, and precedents
- Supporting governance, regulatory, and compliance outcomes
- Building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to a high-performing and inclusive legal team
About You
You’re a legal professional with:
- 1–4 years’ post-admission experience in relevant areas of law
- Strong analytical and drafting skills with a focus on practical outcomes
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build effective relationships
- A continuous improvement focus and eagerness to learn and grow

Qualifications
A relevant degree in law and a current Victorian legal practicing certificate.
