About the role 

The fixed term role is  for 12 months

The Lead Disruptions Planner (Roads) is responsible for providing high level expertise to ensure the successful planning, coordination and impact analysis of planned disruptions. The position is required to ensure that disruption planning and delivery meets requirements defined in DTP’s customer standards and network disruption frameworks.
This role is required to work collaboratively with a broad range of senior stakeholders, including proponents of transport disruptions, project agencies, government departments and a varied range of functional divisions to support the maintenance of the master schedule and analyse the impact of planned disruptions. The role is also responsible for performing high level change management activities and facilitate planning meetings as required.

Your strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills will enable you to build productive relationships, resolve issues constructively, and adapt communication styles effectively. In addition, you'll take the lead in project delivery—defining tasks, coordinating execution, and ensuring progress aligns with agreed outcomes.

Position accountabilities 

  • Provided sound advice and analysis to support effective decision making and the delivery of a customer focused, coordinated and balanced program of work.
  • Ensured proponents of disruptions and project agencies comply with the requirements defined within DTP’s customer standards and network disruption frameworks.
  • Facilitated, managed, and if required chaired, a broad range of disruptions planning and readiness forums and committees with a wide range of sector stakeholders.
  • Provided quality advice and information to support briefings to senior and executive managers and government representatives including the Minister for Transport.
  • Reviewed and critically analysed plans associated with planned disruption project documents, ensuring alignment with projected DTP outcomes.
  • Supported the establishment of DTP as the leaders in disruptions advice and coordination for the Victorian transport network.

Qualifications and experience 

Desirable 

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, transport planning or related field would be well regarded.
  • Extensive experience in transport sector would be well regarded
