About the role
The Legal Operations and Business Support Manager leads legal operations, business support, and continuous improvement across the Legal division. The role manages two direct reports, oversees legal matter management, financial and spend management, data reporting, procurement, knowledge management, and process improvements, including AI, while ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-performing operations.
The role also supports project delivery, budgeting, staff training, and stakeholder collaboration across legal division and the department. It requires a highly organised and proactive professional with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, who can lead complex projects, drive innovation, and demonstrate accountability, resilience, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

- Demonstrates strong business, financial, and commercial acumen to maximise value, support informed decision-making, and manage procurement and expenditure responsibly.
- Uses technology and digital solutions to improve services, lead process improvements, and deliver efficient, strategic outcomes.
- Drives innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, encouraging new ideas, and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Leads and supports people by setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, recognising individual needs, and promoting engagement and performance.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated experience in legal operations management (5+ years) (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in a business or corporate services role supporting senior executives (5+ years), with proficiency in Microsoft Modern Desktop applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint (mandatory).
- A relevant tertiary qualification in legal practice management, business administration, public administration, or a related field (desirable).
