About the role
The Manager, Ministerial Events leads a team responsible for coordinating Ministerial events, stakeholder briefs and enquiries within the Public Affairs branch. The role provides advice on government protocols, manages engagement with Ministerial offices and supports joint announcements with government partners. The position requires strong stakeholder management, attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate information under pressure. It also involves leading a high-performing team, managing critical deadlines and ensuring effective processes, communication and collaboration across the department.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading teams within communications, events or public affairs environments (mandatory).
- Ability to understand complex and sensitive issues and communicate information clearly, concisely and effectively, particularly in high-profile contexts (mandatory).
- Understanding of government processes and policies, with experience supporting executive leadership teams (mandatory).
- A relevant qualification in communications, media, public administration or political science would be desirable.
